Meet Hope!
Hope was apparently dumped by their owner as we found out she is actually spayed. She was found with other dogs by a good samaritan who feeds stray dogs left in a rural area. Volunteers have built some rudimentary shelters for these lost souls but on cold rainy or snowy days, it is not often enough. With her friendly demeanor, Hope captured the heart of a good samaritan who is actully afraid of dogs! She attempted unsucessfully to get her into her car. The sancturay was notified and they were able to pick up three dogs-Hope and two Anatolian shepherd dogs. The Anatolians unfortunately tested positive for distemper and are being treated in quarantine. Hope thus far looks healthy and has tested negative for heartworm, ehrlichia, anaplasmosis and leismania! The other tests are still pending. Hope is safe now at the sanctuary and will be in quarantine for 21 days until they know it is safe to put her with the other dogs. If you would like to contriubte to Hope’s care and medical costs (as well as the two rescued anatolians, please consider a donation of any amount. We will post updates as we have them!
