    Age: 2.5 years old

    Weight: 75 lbs

    Location: Istanbul Turkey

Surprised to see me looking for a new home? Let me explain. Where I come from, when a full grown dog is no longer wanted we are simply abandoned. We are often brought to a place far from home and left to figure out how to survive without food, water, shelter, or love from anyone. But, I’m one of the lucky ones. I was found by a rescue group in Istanbul and brought to a facility where I began to receive food, water and medical care. It’s a good place, a safe place but it’s not a home. I have received A LOT of attention and play time with other dogs, nice people and children, and now they say I deserve to live my best life in America! So what do ya say??? Are you ready for the golden life? If so, please adopt me! I’m so ready for a new life, a new family and a new name!

    Age: 1.5

    Size: 50 lbs

History and Temperament: Julia the jumping bean! This darling, mild-mannered Setter will jump her way right into your heart and onto your lap. Despite having lived her life as a chained lawn ornament, Julia always has a smile on her face and like the waving of a white flag, her long white tail happily wags behind her. Julia has settled nicely into her foster home. Her foster mom reports that she is good in her crate, rarely barks, loves everyone she meets and is great with other dogs. Julia has an innate habit of standing on her hind legs so a home with grown children will be best. This also means that she will counter surf so any food left within reach is fair game! Julia enjoys her multiple walks a day and is good on a leash but like all Setters she is captivated by birds and small critters. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped.

  • Cooper-Adopted!

    Breed: Flat Coated Retriever

    Age: 1

    Sex: Male Neutered

    Size: 50lbs

    History/Temperament: Good with dogs/cats/kids

Hi, my name is Cooper and I’m looking for that special someone who will adopt me!

I am about 50 lbs but will be bigger once I gain weight. I am only around 1-years old. I am good on a leash and I love to go for walks.

Since I have been a street dog, toys are new to me but I’m learning how to play with them. I like to carry them around in my mouth. I do quite well around other dogs as long as they are just as nice as I am. I don’t mind cats either but if they tease me, I will bark at them…all in good fun of course.

I am still learning how to live in a home but honestly, I’m doing great with that. I love all the attention I’m getting from my foster family; food, treats, and petting.

What’s not to love! I have been to the vets and got poked with needles (vaccinations) and then I fell asleep for another procedure (neuter). It’s all good though, no hard feelings. They even put a microchip in me which is really cool because now my new person will never lose me!

  • Mavi-Adopted!

    Breed: Terrier mix

    Sex: female/spayed

    Age: 1.5

    Size: 30 lbs

History and Temperament: A family in Ankara wanted to give her away to a factory. Factories usually have guards, so they stay up all night long. She was dumped there for only one day, as animal lovers found her immediately and took her under their custody. Was transported to Meral’s facility right away. This is a one-of-a-kind gorgeous girl with big beautiful blue eyes that stops everyone in their tracks! This is MAVI, she is from Turkey, and her name means 'blue'.

Mavi is a 1-1/2 yr. Old terrier mix. Here's what MAVI's foster mom says about her: MAVI enjoys cuddling, going for walks, getting a bath, is good with dogs, adults, and respectful children. She is a fun, playful pup who lets the resident cat chase her around the house. MAVI is a collector. She loves to collect toys, socks, shoes, and whatever and carry them around in her mouth or put them in a pile.

She's the kind of dog that, no matter what she does, is going to make you laugh. When you think she couldn't be more perfect, get this-she never barks! Her foster mom said she gets A LOT of attention.

Everyone who sees her, they stop and stare at her and often comments on her unique beauty. It's obvious that we are going to get a lot of applications for MAVI so the right home/person for her is going to have to be extremely outgoing - no wall flowers here! Must love meeting new people because, with MAVI around, it's going to happen. So let's hear it! Are you fun, social, and excited about meeting total strangers!?! If so, please send a kind message raving about how great you will be for MAVI.

MAVI is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines.

She is the sweetest ever, loves people, and she is a love bug. Seeks attention and wants to be petted. She’s a herder, loves to carry stuff around the house. She is a cuddly girl, so she loves sleeping on the bed. She enjoys daily walks, and playing with her foster mom.

Good with dogs and cats. Good with kids ages 6 and up.

Issues: She does not poop easily. Especially during the walks. She needs a home with a yard, that she can learn to go and poop regularly. A big family with kids 6+ is would be great or no kids.

  • Jeep-adopted!

    Breed: Shepherd mix

    Sex: male/neutered

    Age: 3

    Size: Large

History and Temperament: Tripod! Very friendly, very submissive, can be afraid of alpha dogs.

Jeep was found on the side of the road and left for dead after being struck by a vehicle. The position in which his body was found is indescribable. The amputation of his front left leg is the result of the accident. Cases like this make it easy to be angry and focus on the negative but fortunately, that’s not what dogs do and now that we know more about Jeep, that’s not his style.

Jeep is a friendly boy who wants to forget about the past and move forward. He’s assured us that he’s okay, no longer in pain, and eager to begin his new life in the U.S.

Jeep is a Turkish street dog or otherwise known as a dog from the forest. It’s a place where dogs are dumped when they are no longer wanted by their owners. Jeep would not have fared well in the forest for too long since he is a submissive boy and somewhat intimated by bossy dogs. Perhaps Jeep’s accident was no accident at all.

As strange as it sounds, perhaps it was a blessing since he’s now with some very determined people who promise to fly him all the way to the states and place him into the loving arms of a very special person. Jeep is a large, sweet dog and he wants someone who will work with his physical limitations and teach him new things like how to give a ‘high-five’, play ‘hide-and-seek’ and ‘guess which hand’ or ‘name that toy,’ ‘bubble chase,’ ‘doggie-in-the-middle’ and hold ‘treat hunts.’ Maybe even learn a dance step or two! He is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped

    Meet JellyBean!

He stayed at that place for some time until the rescuers asked us if we can find him a home. We saw Jellybean’s pictures, and we immediately fell in love with him. We named him Jellybean because he is the sweetest boy ever. From his big giant smile, you can tell Jellybean adores people and kids. He wants to be the center of attention, especially among kids.

Jellybean is excellent with other dogs. If you are an active person or a couple and have the time and willingness to invest in loving Jellybean, your reward will be a darling best friend for life.
